Had a wonderful Saturday lunch. Tasting menu was delicious and good value for the care and quality. Very accommodating for our kids. Recommended stop if you’re in the area . Highlights for us were: the scallop soup; trout; hake; and ALL the desserts!

Went for my mum's 70th and she is a fussy eater. I emailed and informed them of her likes and dislikes and they happily adapted the tasting menu for us without a second thought. Lunch time was lovely and quiet on a Friday afternoon and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. All the courses were absolutely incredible! Definitely recommend and will hopefully be returning with others!
I am Box-e fan since they first opened (over 8 yrs ago!). Food is great, we went for tasting menu and there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. And panna cotta.. is the best one I have ever had. There are many fine dining restaurants I have visited in Bristol, but Box-E is a true gem!
We had a fantastic dinner at Box-E. The food choices were all delicious and they had lovely veggie options for me. The service was perfect, so warm and friendly and happy to answer any questions. Loved it. Would highly recommend
A lovely evening at Box E! Each dish of the tasting course was well balanced and flavoursome, the local ingredients really sang through! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. Service was smooth and very friendly. Absolutely divine wine selection also. The only thing I would say, I stated in my email that it was going to be my birthday the night we were dining, and as a restaurant of this standing, I did expect them to do something to acknowledge that, maybe a candle or gesture at the end of the meal. But regardless it was still a wonderful night!
We had an impressive dinner. We opted for the chef's tasting menu, as we wanted some surprises. They served us some incredible dishes where each course wasn't isolated, the flavors had a delightful connection. We really enjoyed it and can't wait for the Fall season menu.
Very possibly the best meal out I (we!) have had. The staff were very attentive, for example noticed when our water was low and topped it up. We had the 7 course taster menu and every course was well put together, nutritious, beautifully cooked and absolutely delicious. We were there for about 2 hours and it was such a lovely experience to share with my daughter, who is interested in cooking.
